Lambda Kansas City AI factory

Lambda announced in October 2025 that it would turn an unoccupied 2009-built facility near Kansas City International Airport into an AI factory, developing and operating it as the sole tenant. It set a launch target of early 2026 with 24 MW and potential to grow past 100 MW; the initial phase was reported at upwards of $500 million. The project, known as Project Blitz, later withdrew its bond application with Port KC, which had drawn community opposition; no reason was given and Lambda did not comment. No source reports that the facility has opened.
